Meet Zane.Zane took her first swing on the flying trapeze at summer camp at age 11. After a number of years of pining for the circus days of her youth, she took a class at TSNY in 2010 and never looked back. An athlete and performer at heart, flying trapeze is the perfect activity for her that combines both disciplines. She joined our staff at the end of 2011, and never imagined that she’d still be here more than a decade later, pulling lines for classes, flying in staff shows, and training to catch.
Zane’s coaching philosophy revolves around positive reinforcement and working with the student’s individual journey, all while enforcing good habits and foundations. If you happen to be in one of Zane’s classes, you won’t get away with bent knees or unpointed toes - she’s a stickler for good form! And watch out for her unparalleled styling on the board. Her favorite trick is a shooting star. She is currently working on catching, taking her double tuck out of lines, and making friends with her turnaround (which she has never liked doing). When not at the rig, she works a full-time corporate job at a healthcare technology startup. She is mom to Sheldon, a shamelessly affectionate tabby cat. |
