TSNY makes high-flying feats and acrobatic expression accessible to all, including children and teens! Flying trapeze, trampoline, aerial arts, and juggling are a great way to get kids up and moving, and to foster their creativity. Our Youth Programs build the foundation for developing a healthy, fun, and balanced relationship with exercise throughout their lives. We begin with basics such as warming up before exercise, practicing proper form, and training both strength and flexibility. Participants will have the opportunity to challenge themselves mentally and physically, and we invite them to step outside their comfort zones in a supportive environment. Participants develop fundamental skills such as trust, teamwork, and confidence as they experiment with creating individual sequences and group routines.
While children and teens are always able to sign up for any all-levels classes offered at our school, we also have specialized programs for participants aged 6-17.
All Youth Programs are held indoors at our South Williamsburg, Brooklyn location, and are appropriate for participants ages 6 to 17. Participants should wear comfortable athletic clothing and socks, as well as bring a water bottle and bag lunch.
Drop In Youth Circus Classes
While kids ages 6+ can join any of our all levels drop in classes, we also host youth-specific drop in classes throughout the week! These include both aerial and flying classes, so be sure to check out our schedule and see what classes are currently running.
All Day Circus Experience for Kids
The All Day Circus Experience for Kids is held on common school holidays such as Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President's Day, etc., from 8:00am to 4:00pm. The All Day Circus Experience for Kids is a way to try a variety of the skills we offer - all in one day! Participants will have the opportunity to try any combination of flying trapeze, trampoline, lyra, silks, juggling, static trapeze, tumbling, and more.
Summer Camp
TSNY Summer Camp sessions are one week long, Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 4:00pm. During the first part of the week, participants will have the opportunity to try out all of the activities, such as flying trapeze, static trapeze, silks, acrobatics, trampoline, and juggling. For the remainder of the week students will specialize in one or two skills and create acts to show to their friends and family in a Friday afternoon performance. Students will create costumes and props for the show, have the opportunity to make new friends, and learn new things every day. Just like any great camp experience, campers will get to build teamwork and leadership skills, foster their independence, and have lots of fun!
