Conditioning drills are designed to help students develop strength for any aerial or fitness pursuit, as well as to improve overall health and wellness. Many sessions incorporate conditioning in-between turns on the apparatus or at the end of the session, helping students to build strength and stamina, increase flexibility, target specific areas to improve performance, and reduce the risk of injury.
In Conditioning sessions, instructors may incorporate rope, silks, static trapeze, fitness balls, weights, bands and floor exercises to create a whole body workout; activities are personalized to help individual students achieve their individual fitness goals. Specialized sessions may also be offered, focusing specifically on skills for aerial pursuits, handstands, or flexibility. Check the schedule for our latest offerings and contact the office for additional information.
For flying trapeze students looking to progress through our curriculum, conditioning skills are a requirement in the TSNY Logbook.
We recommend fitted clothing that allows for a full range of motion.
